Sligo Rovers will participate in the 2018/19 Irn-Bru Scottish Challenge Cup, along with Bohemians, as representatives of the SSE Airtricity League.
Both Bray Wanderers and Limerick were excluded from being involved in this year’s competition, which will also feature teams from Northern Ireland’s Danske Bank Premiership, the JD Welsh Premier League, and England’s Vanarama National League.
St Patrick’s Athletic opted not to take up a place in the competition, so the offer was extended to Sligo Rovers who will join Bohemians in the draw for the next staging of the tournament.
