No classes, no teachers, no curriculum – New ‘democratic’ school opens in Sligo



The Sudbury School opens in Sligo this September, only the second such school in Ireland, where pupils, 5 to 18 year olds, and staff have an equal say into how the school is run. There are no classes, no teachers, and there is no school curriculum, but co-founder, Gayle Nagle, insists it’s an environment in which children thrive educationally
