Co Sligo has an infestation of dangerous Lion’s Mane jellyfish and a number of people have needed hospital treatment after being stung by them.
Sligo County Council said the jellyfish have been spotted in Rosses Point beach and Enniscrone in recent weeks.
While a jellyfish measuring over a metre long was spotted this morning in Culleenamore.
