Innishmurray Boat Trips owner says he has lost out on thousands this summer

The owner of Innishmurray Boat Trips has said he has lost out on thousands of euro because tours have been banned to the Island.

The small island, which lies in Donegal Bay is approximately 7km from Streedagh and it has been uninhabited since 1948 when the last remaining islanders left.

But the Department of Transport have said all vists to the island must cease on health and safety grounds.
