Eoghan Ban Gallagher ruled out of Tyrone game

Donegal manager Declan Bonner has confirmed that Killybegs defender Eoghan Ban Gallagher will miss the decisive Super 8 game against Tyrone on Sunday week.

Gallagher suffered an elbow injury in the defeat of Roscommon last weekend, and won’t recover in time for the Ballybofey showdown, and is also unlikely to be fit in time for an All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday fortnight against Galway or Monaghan, should Donegal reach the last four.

Bonner says it is hard to put a timescale on how long the injury will keep the IT Sligo student out of action for…

It is a further blow to Donegal fans, who have also seen Patrick McBrearty’s season ended prematurely due to injury.

In club action this evening, McBrearty’s club Kilcar need a win at home to bottom side Dungloe to keep the pressure on the top three in the Senior League Division One.

Throw-in in Towney is at 8pm.
