A host of former Sligo Rovers greats will be back in action at the Showgrounds on Saturday to take part in Raffaele Cretaro’s testimonial match.
Danny North, Joseph Ndo, Danny Ventre, Padraig Moran, Jeff Henderson, Matthew Judge, Alan Keane and Anthony Elding will be just some of the recent Rovers favourites to don the Bit O’ Red jersey once again to take on the current team, with Tubbercurry legend Cretaro set to play one half with each team.
Tickets for the game are on sale now and will be available at the gate on the night, with Cystic Fibrosis Ireland the charity partner for the event.
A raffle will take place on the night as well, with prizes including match jerseys donated by former team-mates Seamus Coleman, Eoin Doyle and Seani Maguire.
Cretaro has been reflecting on his footballing career ahead of the game, and admitted he only ever wanted to play football…
