The Mayor of Donegal Town has said the announcement of 500 new jobs for the town is a “massive boost of confidence in the Northwest”.
It was confirmed yesterday that the pharmaceutical company, Abbott, is to create 500 jobs over the next few years.
Two hundred people are currently employed by Abbott Ireland in Donegal, where the company manufactures and distributes products for the treatment of diabetes.e.
