Leitrim Councillor says it’s not fair tourists cars are being scratched by overgrown hedges



A Leitrim councillor says it’s not fair that cars hired by tourists to the county are being scratched by overgrown hedges along some roads.

Leitrim County Council insist the cutting of hedges is the responsibility of landowners, adding that it does not have the resources to do more hedge-cutting.

Councillors say overgrown hedges and untrimmed trees are now a serious problem on a number of roads in the county:
