Rural Sligo TD says motorists bearing the brunt of scandalous insurance hikes



Motorists are facing even higher insurance costs.

A two per cent levy is to be added to policies to provide funds for cases where insurance companies collapse.

It is to deal with claims from the collapse in 2014 of Setanta Insurance.

And there’s also fears that cars over 10 years old will be hit with higher premiums.

Sligo/Leitrim Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon has been longtime critic of rising insurance prices.
