Sligo U21 hurlers book All-Ireland semi-final spot after Donegal win

Sligo proved too strong for Donegal in last night’s All-Ireland U21 B Hurling Championship quarter-final in Ballyshannon.

The Yeats men came from six points down at one stage in the opening half to outscore their opponents by ten points in the second half and win by 1-18 to 1-8.

Sligo are now due to face Kerry in the semi-final in Ballinasloe on Sunday.

In club action, Easkey/St Farnan’s won the Sligo U16 county title last night thanks to their defeat of Benbulben Gaels in the final.
