Weekend GAA round-up



Donegal’s five-point defeat to Dublin in Croke Park on Saturday means Declan Bonner’s side need to get something from their ‘Super 8’ trip to Dr Hyde Park to face Roscommon next weekend.

The Rossies lost heavily to Tyrone at the weekend, while Galway beat Kildare and Monaghan beat Tyrone.

Tourlestrane will face Coolaney/Mullinabreena in the Sligo Senior League final following the final round of fixtures at the weekend.

Drumcliffe/Rosses Point were relegated.

Castleconnor will face Calry/St Joseph’s in the Division Two final.

In Leitrim, Glencar/Manorhamilton moved three points clear of the senior league on Saturday with their defeat of Leitrim Gaels, and they will be guaranteed a place in the final with one win from their last two games.

In Division Two, Dromahair’s defeat of Bornacoola at the weekend, means that the winners of their trip to leaders Annaduff next Saturday will be guaranteed a place in the final.

In ladies football, Sligo won their first game in the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship in Strokestown yesterday as they beat Longford.
