Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information after a man was attacked last night.
He was attacked by three hooded men as he drove from Riverstown towards the N4 via Coopers Hill between 10pm and 10.15pm Friday evening.
The assailants caused non life threatening injuries, stole a sum of money and made off in the victims car heading towards Riverstown.
The stolen car which is a Black Skoda Superb Estate with the registration 171 – C – 5667 was last seen travelling towards Riverstown after the attack.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone that noticed suspicious activity between 9.30pm and 10.15pm or who has seen the stolen car, to contact them at Ballymote Garda Station or the Garda Confidential line.
