Donegal County Council to evaluate economic impact of ‘cruise tourism’



Donegal County Council is to carry research into the economic impact of cruise tourism.

A number of high profile cruisers have been coming into Donegal in recent years with one of the largest ever docking in Killybegs last month – the Cunard Queen Victoria carried over 2000 passengers.

The next cruiser – the Queen Elizabeth is due to visit Killybegs next Friday the 20th of July.

This week, Donegal County Council confirmed it will develop a brochure promoting cruise tourism.
