If you see the stray Leitrim snake, put a plastic container over it to stop it escaping again

Anyone who sees North Leitrim’s stray snake is asked to put a plastic container over it to keep it from escaping again.

It was first seen in a park in Kinlough last Sunday afternoon.

Now, it’s emerged it was seen again yesterday, not far from where it was originally spotted.

Conor Dowling, chief inspector with the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, says its not believed to be poisonous and poses a risk to only very small animals.
