The Taoiseach says plans for a Cardiac Cath Lab at Sligo University Hospital are still under review.
There are ongoing calls for the lab to be put in place and the hospital has put forward a plan to the Department for this permanent lab.
These labs have special diagnostic equipment for monitoring heart conditions.
Sligo Leitrim Fine Gael TD Tony McLoughlin raised the issue with the Taoiseach saying ‘he’s under pressure’ to get answers for the people of the county:
