Finn Harps are one step closer to getting a brand new football stadium.
A total of €304,000 has been awarded to the club from Capital Sport funding.
The club say their Stadium Committee has been closely engaged with the Department of Sport on this matter for some time and will shortly announce the appointment of a design team.
The design team will work with the Stadium Committee and technical advisers from the Department of Sport to survey the new ground site, complete the works already started and deliver a plan for all aspects of the project including quantity surveying, architectural work and detailed design and will manage the project to conclusion.
The club say they will provide further information on plans in the upcoming AGM and a fan forum that will follow.
The funding will set the foundations for a new stand, pitch and floodlights on site in Stranorlar.
