Minister with responsibility for flooding and OPW in Sligo

The Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief, Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran paid a quick visit to Sligo this morning.

He met with Fine Gael Deputy Tony McLoughlin during which, it’s understood, the issue of progressing the new garda station in Sligo was discussed.

A site has already been earmarked for the new building.

Meanwhile, discussions are to take place soon between Sligo County Council and the OPW to decide which of them will be the lead agency on work to prevent flooding in the Rathbraughan area of Sligo town.
