Sligo GAA announced their 2018 sponsors at a press night in the Southern Hotel last week where they were joined by representatives from many of their sponsors and members of the county executive.
Peter Greene opened proceedings by introducing Joe Taaffe, county board chairman, who addressed those in attendance. Joe opened by welcoming all the sponsors and thanking them for their ongoing support to the county and wished them all well in their own businesses in the coming year.
Joe went on to thank all the various team mentors for their work during the year and thanked Peter Greene, county board treasurer, in particular for his work over the past number of years in garnering and developing new Sponsors for the County Board.
Peter Greene then went on to introduce each of the sponsors and outlined the various sponsorships they supported.
Peter thanked ABBVIE for their ongoing support for the county senior, U20 and Junior teams now in their third year sponsoring Sligo. He paid a particular word of thanks to Joe Kumor, site manager of the Ballytivnan site who was very supportive of this sponsorship since its inception.

The nine Easter coaching camps held across the county were also sponsored for the first time by Kevin McGlynn and his team at the Sligo Southern Hotel. Kevin also sponsored a gilet jacket for each of the club coaching officers in the county in recognition of their hard work with each of the clubs.
Peter concluded by thanking a number of support sponsors, namely Niall and Karen Gallogly of Gallogly Catering, Ross Palmer of Fastcom for their telecommunications support, and finally VW Connolly Motors for sponsoring the senior football team kit van.
