Councils in the region are continuing to battle reports of melting tar.
Motorists are again advised that high temperatures have affected road conditions in some areas.
On Tuesday Sligo County Council roads staff treated a local road in Ballisodare where the road surface temperatures had exceeded 44 degrees.
Difficulties were also reported yesterday afternoon on N15 Bundoran Road between Topaz and Horkans and on link road between Ballytivnan and N15.
Similar reports have been made to the Councils in Leitrim and in Donegal and motorists are asked to be aware of this hazard during current spell.
