Cleary Centre campaigner hopes new funding plans will go ahead



A Cleary Centre campaigner says she hopes the HSE will now move forward with plans to rebuild their original centre in Donegal Town.

The centre provides services for people with intellectual disabilities.

But they had to move out of their original location on the Clar road to temporary accommodation in Lurganboy.

The goal was always to rebuild the Clar road centre and return the services there.

Today, Sinn Fein TD in Donegal Pearse Doherty welcomed confirmation from the HSE that the funding proposals are to be looked at in July.

Mary Gorman, the Chairperson of the Parents and Friends Committee of the Centre is giving this news a cautious welcome:
