A Sligo Leitrim TD in the North West told says the people of south Donegal won’t accept the closure of Ballyshannon Fire Station.
Marc MacSharry used last night’s discussion on fire services in the Dail to raise the present situation facing the fire services in south Donegal.
A proposal to merge the Ballyshannon and Bundoran Fire Stations closing Ballyshannon will be discussed at a meeting of the County Council on Monday.
Marc MacSharry has asked the Minister with responsibility in this area to address the issue and stand by previous committments to keep the two stations open:
