Rosses Point’s Daniel Ford is best of the Sligo players after day one of the Irish Boys U16 Open Championship in Castle Dargan yesterday.
The Co Sligo Golf Club member is two-over-par after a first round of 74, and currently in a tie for sixth place.
Clubmate Niall McDermott shot a 79, while Enniscrone’s Cormac Feeney is next best after a round of 81, one shot better than Co Sligo’s Tom Flanagan.
