The new Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council says improving tourism is the only way to attract jods to rural areas.
East Sligo Councillor Martin Baker took up the new role yesterday afternoon.
He says he welcomes recent jobs announcements for Sligo.
But he hopes more jobs can be created in more rural parts of the county as well improving local roads:
