A Leitrim general election candidate is calling for people with medical cards to have more dental entitlements.
Fianna Fail’s Shane Ellis says that at present, medical card holders are entitled to only two fillings per year — but can get an unlimited number of extractions.
Shane Ellis is calling for a change to the scheme so that extractions would be carried out only as a last resort.
