British Irish Parliamentary Assembly meeting in Sligo on Monday



For the first time ever, the British irish Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Sligo.

Delegates from both the Irish and British Governments are arriving in Sligo today ahead of the assembly which begins tomorrow in the Sligo Park Hotel.

Donegal Minister Joe McHugh will open proceedings tomorrow morning.

Topics of discussion will include Brexit and women in government with speakers including Joan Burton and British Ambassador to Ireland, Robin Barnett.
