Nearly 7000 Junior and Leaving cert students in the North West start their exams today.
Over 4200 pupils in Donegal, over 1600 pupils in Sligo and over 870 in Leitrim are getting ready to sit their first exam.
It’s paper one for both the Junior and Leaving cert.
They include 106 students in Donegal and 52 in Sligo who are sitting the Applied Leaving Cert papers.
