Workers posted to other EU countries are ensured equal pay for equal work



The European Parliament has backed new rules to ensure workers posted to another EU country temporarily, must get equal pay for equal work in the same place.

Travel board and accommodation costs will have to be paid by the employer.

The new rules will apply to areas where there is a collective agreement in place.

Governments now have two years to transpose the new EU rules into national law.
