A Sligo/Leitrim TD has said that local small contractors and businesses are being forced to close because they have not been paid monies that they are owed.
With many of companies going into receivership in the past number of years, a number of local sub contractors have never been paid for work they carried out.
Businesses that are owed debts, do get compensation from the Government.
But Fianna Fail Deputy Eamon Scanlon says this compensation is nowhere near enough…..
