St Mary’s to host annual U12 Clifford Cup next weekend



The Clifford Cup, now in its eleventh year, is an Under 12 boys Gaelic football competition which was initiated by the Clifford family in 2008 in memory of their late father, Paddy.
The competition takes place on Saturday 2 June 2018 and will involve teams from Sligo (St. Mary’s, St. Molaise Gaels), Galway (Corofin), Mayo (Castlebar Mitchells), Leitrim (St. Mary’s, Carrick) and Donegal (Aodh Ruadh, Four Masters & St. Eunan’s).
The tournament is divided into two groups, involving a cup and shield competition. Group matches are played in Kent Park and Mitchell Curley Park, with semi finals and finals being played in Kent Park. The competition commences at 11am, with finals scheduled for 3pm.
