Thousands of euro worth of copper phone cable has been cut down from live power lines in the North Sligo area.
Hundreds of metres of the cable was stolen in the Cashelgarron area between 9pm and 9am on Monday.
While a similar amount of cable was cut down and stolen in the Cliffoney area on Tuesday night.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious to contact them, and Sligo Crime Prevention Officer, Jim Fox has appealed to scrap dealers to be on the lookout….
