Injury-hit Harps face long trip to Wexford

After the disappointing loss to Cobh Ramblers last weekend, Finn Harps is aiming to get back on track tomorrow night with a positive result against Wexford Youths at Ferrycarraig Park (kick-off 8.00). However, injuries and now suspensions will again make the challenge of getting something out of this away trip extremely difficult for Ollie Horgan’s outfit.

Horgan says his players must now show a real desire and ambition to keep Harps in the upper half of the table. “It was a very disappointing result against Cobh but we have to move on and try and change that tomorrow night at Ferrycarraig Park. The players need to display a sense of urgency to get a result against Wexford that will keep us hopefully fairly close to the leading teams. We have Mark Coyle and Tommy McBride missing due to suspensions, which adds to the injuries problems that we still have. Gareth Harkin, Mark Timlin and Liam Walsh are still out and now Lee Toland won’t feature for a while and Adam Duffy won’t be fit either. Keith Cowan could only play the last 15 minutes on Friday and he’s struggling as is Paddy McCourt and John O’Flynn who weren’t fit to be in the squad for the Cobh game and both of them are very doubtful for tomorrow night” Horgan said.
