Minister for Agriculture to investigate Killery mountain fire farm payments



The Minister for Agriculture has asked for details of farmers awaiting payments following an extensive fire on commonage land in County Sligo last year.

Michael Creed told Sligo/Leitrim TD Tony McLoughlin in the Dail that if he got the details, he would have the matter investigated.

It was after Deputy McLoughlin told him about 30 farmers in the Killery, Ballintogher, area were facing difficulty as they continue to wait for farm payments following the fire….
