North West Councils rank low on transparency table



All of the Councils in the North West are at the lower end of a table published today which ranks them based on transparency and accountability.

Galway City Council topped the table but Galway County Council was at the bottom in 31st place.

Transparency International Ireland has ranked Ireland’s 31 councils based on three criteria: Transparency, Accountability and Ethics.

Leitrim, Donegal and Sligo scored a total of 15,14 and 13 points out of a total of 30 leaving them in the bottom half of the table.
