Over €2m in grants to help families adapt the homes of the elderly has been allocated by the government.
The Housing Adaptation Grant helps people to make changes and adaptations to their home.
This can include putting in a stair lift or making the house wheelchair accessible. It also includes mobility aids and improving the condition of homes.
€1.9m has been allocated to Sligo and Leitrim and another €1.1m to Donegal.
