Applications to the European Commission have opened for local authorities to introduce free Wi-Fi hotspots.
Under the initiative, the EU is making 120 million Euro available to local authorities across the European Union.

She says the plan will support the installation of Wi-Fi equipment in centres of community life across the Country.
