Sligo’s Win

Our senior club captain Neil Ewing was on the scoresheet for Sligo footballers last Sunday in Ruislip as they recorded a 1-21 to 1-11 win against London to book a Connacht semi-final meeting with the winners of the Galway/Mayo game. Congrats to the Yeats County on a comprehensive win.

Dinner’s On Declan!
Congrats to Declan O’Brien who was the winner of our Championship Forecast Competition for the London-Sligo game. While none of the entries matched the exact scoreline. There were eight entries who correctly forecasted a 10-point winning margin for Sligo. As per the competition rules, the eight ‘finalists were put into a hat to determine the winner by Lot. Declan O’Brien from Ballincar was drawn out. He receives a €100 meal voucher. Thank you to everybody who supported the competition.

Senior & Junior Footballers
Club action resumes this Saturday when our senior men’s footballers welcome reigning league and county champions Tourlestrane to Oxfield on Saturday evening at 7pm in Division 1 of the league. Our junior men’s footballers being their Division 4 campaign the following afternoon (Sun 13th) with a home match against St Farnan’s at 2pm.

Ladies Return To Winning Ways

Our ladies intermediate footballers returned to winning ways in Division 2 last Sunday morning with an impressive 8-7 to 4-3 win away to Curry to complete their league campaign with two wins and two defeats. The intermediate championship is scheduled to begin later in the summer.

Hurling
Benbulben Gaels U14 maintained their unbeaten start to the league with an exciting 4-10 to 3-7 wins away to a very good Castleconnor side.  The U12 hurlers play Coolera/Strandhill in Ransboro on Tuesday evening at 7pm.

U14 Footballers
The boys U14 footballers make the journey to Coola on Thursday evening to play Shamrock Gaels in the league at 7.

U8 & U10 Blitz
There will be a midweek blitz for our U8 and U10 nursery footballers this Wednesday evening, May 9th, when we host St Molaise Gaels in Oxfield at 7pm. Players are asked to assemble by 6:45pm.

Lotto

The numbers drawn for April’s Club Lotto were: 1, 5, 7, 28.
There was no winner of the €1250 Jackpot.

There were FOUR Match 3 winners: Michelle McNulty, Mary Power, Brian O’Grady and Hugh Slevin each receive €100.
