Funeral of woman found dead in Sligo to take place on Friday



The funeral of a mother-of-three who was found dead in Sligo will take place on Friday.

The body of Natalia Karaczyn was discovered on the outskirts of the town yesterday morning.

The 30-year-old was originally from Poland but had been living in Sligo for a number of years.

The mother of three young boys was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning close to her home in Crozon.

Her body was discovered yesterday morning in the Holywell Road area just outside the town and a postmortem was carried out last night.

Her funeral will take place at the Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception in the town on Friday morning at 11:30am.

Meanwhile 32 year old man arrested yesterday in connection with the investigation is still being held in custody.

It’s understood Garda will decide this evening whether to release him or formally charge him.
