Minister extends fodder imports for an extra week



The Irish Farmers Association have welcomed the extension of the fodder import scheme.

The importation of animal feed from the UK started earlier this month to address the shortage farmers across the country were experiencing.

The measure, along with supporting fodder transport provisions, were due to end on Monday.

But Agriculture Minister Michael Creed says it’ll be extended to Monday 7th May to help farmers who are still struggling.
