Government says report on homes affected by MICA expected shortly



The Government have said that they should be able to publish a report in the next few months into houses affected by MICA in Co Donegal.

5,700 homes in Donegal and north Mayo have been affected by problems in their concrete blockwork causing buildings to disintegrate and external plastering and rendering to crack.

In Donegal the homes affected are mainly located in the Inishowen and Letterkenny .

Speaking in the Dail yesterday, Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government Damien English said a report should be ready to publish shortly……
