Sligo’s Dean Clancy and Leitrim’s Dearbhla Rooney will both go for gold today at the European Youth Championships in Italy.
Dearbhla Rooney will be in the ring shortly for her bantamweight final against Slovakian Jessica Triebelova.
He bout is the fourth final on the card, and should begin about 2pm.
Dean Clancy was a silver medallist last year and will look to graduate to gold when he fights in the flyweight final this evening.
Clancy’s fight against Ivan Price from England in the second fight in the evening card, which gets underway from 5pm Irish time.
