Over €11 million allocated for the North West under SICAP



Over €11m euro has been allocated by the government towards social inclusion.

Fine Gael Cllr Dara Mulvey has welcomed the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) funding allocation amount for Sligo of €585,514.

Elsewhere, €524,650 is allocated for Leitrim while Donegal is to receive €10m over the next five years

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring TD, announced a major investment by the Government to tackle disadvantage in Ireland.

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme will provide €190 million over five years (2018-2022) to support the most disadvantaged individuals and communities in our society.
