Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for Co Sligo today.
A Status Yellow rainfall and wind warning has been put in place for eight counties.
The national forecaster say Sligo, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford are at risk of flooding.
The warning is in place for 24 hours starting at 9am this morning.
