Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a road traffic incident in Sligo yesterday after a garda car was hit while on checkpoint duty.
Gardaí say that a motorbike failed to stop and eventually collided with the patrol car.
The collision occurred on the Circular Road at approximately 5pm yesterday evening.
The motorbike was later seized and investigations are ongoing. There were no injuries.
