A young man had to be rescued from a Co Fermanagh river yesterday evening after he got into difficulty.
The emergency arose after he got into difficulty in the River Erne not far from the Glen Eden Hotel in Belleek.
A major search operation involving the coastguard helicopter, two ambulances and fire brigade personnel was then launched and the young man was taken from the river.
He was given medical aid at the scene and then brought to hospital.
