A North West TD is proposing leveling the basic payment rates for CAP 2020.
Sinn Feinn Spokesperson on Agriculture, Martin Kenny, says that the current system is unfair to farmers as it based on farming practices from almost 20 years ago.
There are suggestions that the Basic Payment and Greening payment will be merged and Deputy Kenny says there should be system set up on a per hectare basis.
