Public meeting to held in Donegal Town over future of local garda station

A public meeting is to be held in Donegal Town this week on the future of the local garda station.

There are proposals to reduce the opening hours at the station.

It’s understood that the 24 hour status of the station will be reduced and it will only open between 10.00am and 2.00pm and 8.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 1pm on Sundays.

A public meeting is to take place in the Abbey Hotel at 9pm on Thursday night. Mayor of Donegal Town is Pauric Kennedy:
