Cllr says reform of the ambulance dispatch system needed for rural areas



A Sligo Councillor is calling for a reform of the system used to dispatch ambulances in rural areas.

Fianna Fail Councillor Keith Henry says the south Sligo area is the victim of busy ambulance bases in Carrick-on-Shannon and Boyle.

Some people can be waiting up to an hour for ambulance to respond to a certain type of call.
