Horgan warns of Wexford threat

Despite suffering a heavy defeat last weekend, Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan says Wexford Youths will be given every respect when they come to play his side tonight in Ballybofey (kick-off 8.00). Wexford lost 8-1 to Drogheda Utd at Ferrycarrig Park last Friday night.

“The next few days is going to be hectic for us with Wexford Youths tonight and then we’re traveling to take on Drogheda Utd in that rearranged fixture on Monday night. But, it’s the Wexford game that we have been focusing on totally this week. It’s important that football fans across the county come out and support the lads and give us that extra boost that will hopefully deliver three points.”

Horgan says Harps have to take full advantage of playing at home. “We have to make home advantage pay but we also have to be patient and try to ensure that we don’t concede goals. After Wexford we are away for two games against Drogheda and Athlone Town so it’s vital that the lads produce a performance that will hopefully deliver the three points.”
