Dail hears how Sligo hotel’s insurance more than doubled last year



A Dail debate last night heard that dozens of jobs could be lost in counties like Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal if something is not done to tackle the rising cost of business insurance.

There were calls for urgent action to tackle not only rising business insurance but also car and house insurance premiums.

FF TD Eamon Scanlon spoke during the debate and gave an example of a hotel in county Sligo that had their insurance more than doubled in the last year to €65,000.
