Rovers game against the Saints is rescheduled for May 15

Sligo Rovers’ away game against St Patrick’s Athletic – which has been postponed twice in the last few weeks – has been given a new date of Tuesday, May 15, with a 7.45pm kick-off at Richmond Park.

The FAI have also today confirmed that Rovers’ home game against Bohemians scheduled for Saturday, October 13, will now be played the evening beforehand.

This change is to avoid a clash with the Republic of Ireland versus Denmark UEFA Nations League match on the Saturday at the Aviva Stadium.

The FAI have still to confirm the re-fixtures for four First Division matches, among them to game between Finn Harps and Longford Town, which was postponed at the start of March.

Meanwhile, Rovers have been paired with Galway United in round two of the EA Sports Cup, while Finn Harps will face neighbours Derry City.

The draw was made today and will see the Bit O’ Red journey to Eamonn Deacy Park to face the Tribesmen, while Harps will have home advantage for their game against Derry.

The ties will take place on Monday week, April 2, and the kick-off times will be confirmed closer to the day.
